I don't really care with of the three you use. But the way his tail is stationary in the first one bothers me.

Ooh, forgot about that.
EDIT: Well, I've decided. I'm going with this one:
I've also updated a few other things about him. Mainly his weapons.

The 3rd one.
The thrid one is the only one with a sufficient amount of movement.

The third looks best. Also, that background in the image you posted from SRB2 really doesn't fit.

I agree. It can't work. The flowers are way bigger than you.

In all honesty, just about every battle BG the RTP has to offer looks abnormally large.
But yeah, you might want to find a way to get around that.

Okay, How about this?
I retook the screenshot. Instead of taking a picture in a different area, I went into debug mode and removed the flower.
Crafty.
Anyway, I hope it looks better.

Crafty, but also completely missing the point.
The flower was just an example. You can see how everything in the distance is just too big. Although, this might just be a problem that you can't get around.

Do you have to nitpick at every little thing I say..?
Anyway, yes. I guess there's not much you can do about it.

That was hardly nitpicking.
Just being a little snarky.

Well, fine.
Do you have to snark at everything I say?
Don't get me wrong, deadpan snarkers are cool, but it can get irritating when it seems so directly aimed at me. So just lay off a bit, will ya?

*sighs and shakes head*
Like Kapus said, Pretty much all the backgrounds are too big. This one doesn't make much of a difference. You're probably just used to seeing it in SRB2 rather than in this game, which is why it's more noticeable. Comparing it to the other backdrops, it really is quite similar.

Well, I'm trying to get off my lazy fanny and get some work done. And lookie here, Green Flower Zone just got spruced up.
______________Before
After
Much better. I'm going for a more professional look, here. With this look I might even have the new motivation to finish this area.
And, if any of you are wondering what happened to the rings in the second pic? Lets just say that they were left in the past...only 93 more rings to go before I get an extra life!...yeah, that's not too impressive.

Oh, Goodie! A Second update!
This Just in. I just made a new feature. I call it...The Super Jump!
Compare these pictures to learn what the regular jump height is. As you probably already know, if you are moving while jumping then you'll jump about two steps away from your original position, thus allowing you to get over small gaps. But how do you get up huge walls such as that? Well, See that green pad? (It's going to change to something else, believe me.) Step on it and wait for the signal..
Once you start to glow, press the Jump button. (shift, for those of you who don't remember the controls)
And Off you go!
Congratulations! You've just scaled a cliff in a single bound!
For technical reasons, the screen fades in and out after every time you do this. Also, Don't expect to be able to do this whenever you feel like it. You need to do this only on the jump pads, and only a certain item will allow you to utilize this skill...
EDIT: oh by the way, While I'm on the subject of jumping, I've made it so that you can jump on Item Boxes/TV's and break them, instead of just walking up to them and pressing the Action Key, opening (or breaking) them like a treasure chest.

Reminds me of DBZ Legacy of Goku, where you have to little flying panels. Overall, great work Smash!

Here's a new video for you to watch.
Video Description:
"I made a mistake while making this video. I completely forgot to mute the sound while recording. (to be more specific, turn the music off.) Not only is the music fading into a different section of the song annoying, it's distracting, too. I really MEANT to mute the music, but I forgot. I was distracted by other matters. And it's late at night.
Another thing, Some of the weapons look a little bit cheap with their animations. They had been unused for so long, I had forgotten to update them. Weapons such as the Laser Drive and Laser Gun fall into that category. Also, I misspelled Laser. I always get confused with that one letter..."
I originally was going to show all of Gizmo's weapons, but I figured that I might as well show all the different types. Speaking of which, I will be completing Gizmo soon. or, Re-completing. Remember I lost some things for him in that one database crash some time ago? I did recover most of what was lost, but I left one or two things out. But that means that I have a few more slots left for skills. I'm still pondering on what I should give him...
Also, I'm currently working on finishing all the sprites that I had left undone with Smash, Splice, and whoever else has suffered from neglect. The first one I'm doing is Splice. He shouldn't take too long. He only has a few.

My main computer's down. I won't be able to work on the game for a little while. With only two computers usable, (1 constantly being used by my mother because, well, it's her computer.) You can expect to see a lot less of me.
I should probably take this free time off from my game to work on something else that isn't on there.
