Lets not have a debate on these badniks, okay? I can use yours SL. But Egg pawns are staying, and thats final.

They are generic, yes. And they are boring compared to the old badniks. And I don't particularly care for them personally. But they will be in because they are part of Eggman's series of badniks. And I'm not gonna add any of his robots from any other game after Sonic Advance 3.

You know, Smash, Splice looks really...weird in that pic.

I think his face could be drawn better. Everything else looks fine.

....My world got rocked. And thats not the first time I went wrong. I must've seen like 4 other game over screens during this attack. Especially when I fixed the error of getting a double level up from the first mini boss instead of just one.


SOOOOOOOOO...

I'm working on ways to give you an advantage.

Firstly,


Burger Stop is open on the east side of GFC, right by the beach. You can get yourself a chilidog or burger, or some apple cider to replenish your SP.

Second, In the battle with the flame thrower mini boss with Violet in your party, She knows how to heal herself so you don't have to worry about using any burgers or chilidogs on her.

Third, If you go into the drug store during the attack, you'll get into a fight with a couple of Rollers. You'll get a reward for doing so, including a Cheese Burger, something that you shouldn't even be buying at this point of the game. So you should savor that.

Fourth, Clara is by your house during the attack and there's a save point next to her. If you're in a critical state, she'll heal you when you talk to her. (Unfortunately, she won't do so otherwise.)


Also, After you help Violet, you'll notice that the fire around town is spreading. At this point, Clara finds something very useful...


Invincibility!? No Way!


seriously. you have no idea how much I needed this.

NEVER give someone invincibility during any part of a game. It ruins teh whole section for obvious reasons.

I wanted to bring in some classics from the old Sonic games. Besides, Invincibility isn't THAT bad. It only works for random encounters. Nothing more. And it doesn't last long. I tried to make it so that you actually just avoid getting into battles all together, but that wasn't possible apparently. Although I could give it another shot but it might not work.

Meh. It's a lot harder to grind that way.

TOo easy if you''re invincible.

Like I said, I originally meant for you to be able to avoid battles. If you want to grind, Don't open the invincibility box. Its not like your forced to.

And, I think I can make it work properly this time. I'm currently looking at it.

EDIT: It works. There's no way you can get into a battle with it on. I have no idea what went wrong last time.

Also, I've added a new enemy, which I meant to add along with the first ones.


Its a bomb. The same kind of bomb that blew up on one of the houses earlier. It will light its fuse and blow up on you, and it hurts badly. So hurry up and kill it. You'll get more experience and money if you can beat it before it lights its fuse.

But..



If you run into, say, 5 of them...on the road...and they all light their fuses at the same time...

They will appear. Not yet though. Later. I'm having series of robots show up in a certain order. First series (attack on GFC and the first dungeon) Sonic 1 badniks. Second series, Sonic 2 badniks mixed with SRB2 badniks. 3rd Series, Sonic 3 badniks. 4th series, Sonic Advance badniks. etc.

There will be a series with mixed badniks, which is where yours will appear.


Also. I plan to have some upgrades from one of the previous series show up. i.e:

Motobug(original) Spring Motobug(upgrade-better defense and new skill) Super Motobug (last version. much faster.)

Batbrain(Original) Fire Bat(upgrade-now can use fire skills and is immune to fire.) Vampire Bat(last version. Can absorb HP.)

Currently, The computer I'm using to work on my game is not quite working properly. Not quite sure what's wrong with it, it was working fine last night. In any case, I luckily have a backup on my mom's laptop, which I'm currently using. And now, I've discovered a possibility of a feature I had been pondering on for the past few days.

Swimming.

You'll now be able to swim in the game. But there is a timer before you run out of oxygen. I'm not gonna make it so that you die when you drown, but rather get thrown back to the point where you first entered the water and lose HP, Somewhat like in the TLOZ: The Wind Waker. The only thing is I'll need to figure out how to prevent you from entering water with Sonic as the leader.....Or atleast, make him completely sink.

Well, I'm back on my main computer, and I've put the test into the real game.


Whelp! It Works. You can now officially swim. All I gotta do is work on the sprites for it.




Don't expect to be able to swim anywhere though.
