Splice The Hedgehog: RPG Fangame

I appreciate you putting my skit button suggestion into action, but I don't believe every keyboard
has a * button, so you might want to use a more universal key.

Hmm...Yes, that is true. My second idea was to use the number 0. I'll try that.

EDIT: Tested it and confirmed that it works. The button has now been changed to 0.

When you post the demo you should also find the RTP. i dont have that downloaded.

Oh! Thanks for reminding me. I'll be sure to do that. It's always a pain to me dealing with the RTP.

What's RTP?

Run Time Package. It's a must-have for the RPGMaker to work. It's basically the default sprites, music, backgrounds, tilesets, sfx, etc. If it's not present, the RPGMaker won't open. And it won't let you play games without it.

Personally, the only RTP things I use are sound effects mainly, and the tilesets and some sprites of objects and animations. Other than that, I really don't use it.

Small Update.

This would be bigger and I'd have posted it sooner, but I was delayed. I currently only need to work on North GFC's ruins, and Station Square Road's ruins. And then I'll just have to work on the rest of the things I mentioned in the last update. I'm just a bit excited since I got my motivation back before I even realized it.

Now that I'm back, I went ahead and worked on some things and completed them. For one thing, the North and the Northwest sides of GFC, and Station Square Road, are all done. I would start making the videos now, BUT, there's just one thing I need to do. I need to work on Burger Stop and the hotel. I guess the hotel could wait, but I really need to get the burger shop done. Once I do that, Then I can start. Although I'd have to testplay through the game again and make sure that everything runs smoothly.

Also, About the world map.




I've made mini charsets for people on the World Map. They automatically change into that when you go out into the field. The moment you go into another location, i.e a city or a zone, they'll all turn back to their original sprites. So far, I've got it done for Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and, as you can see above, Splice. Splice was the only one I had to edit, actually. Next, I'm gonna have to do it for Crystal and Tab. Tab is obviously gonna be harder since she's a cat, not a hedgehog, fox or echidna.


That's all for now. I'm gonna get back to work.

Now it's starting to remind me of Earthbound....anyways, good to see your making progress.

This part of the game is almost complete. Once everything is done and we have bug tested, we are going to release a demo of Splice the Hedgehog.

Last night, I thought nearly the entire story through. Didn't fall asleep till nearly 5:00 AM. There were a lot of things that I need to write down and make sure that I don't forget. So today, I'm taking some time off to write the whole story.

I can't wait to play it. :3

I've been writing for about 6&ahalf hours and I'm still not done. And I'm not even writing this in story format, I'm just writing the events. I'm near the end though.

You will have one soon. I just need to finish a few things in the game. But at the moment, my priority was to finish writing out the story before I forgot anything.

EDIT: Okay. By the next time I get on the computer, I should have the whole story written out. I'm at the final climax, and I already know how that's gonna go. So that should be quick.

If you're saying that I'm lying about finishing the story by today, You're wrong. I just finished. There is something else I need to write down, though. It's pretty important. Once I finish that, I'm going to continue the game. I should be finished sometime today.
