Splice The Hedgehog: RPG Fangame

Well I hadn't been able to get a lot done in the past week, but I did manage to make the docks in Green Flower City look halfway decent. I didn't add any boats though because I'd need an entire boat tileset for that, and if I had that on then I would have problems with the rest of the area.

Anyway, I just need to add a few more things to it, then fix up the rest of the area around it, then give Burger Bonanza a paint job (Speedy said it's pink interior was hideous.), Get that hotel made, then I should probably move onward in the story. Although I didn't finish making the NPC's. I only have 3. And it's a big city, compared to most places in RPG games. Green Flower City lives up to its name.

Sounds good to me.

Come to think of it, Green Flower City might end up being the largest town area in the game.

Now that my computer is fixed..Recording isn't as slow anymore. Which means...

Once I record Gizmo's completion video, I'm gonna get started. But first, I have a few things that I need to straighten out around Green Flower City.

"Here it is, as promised. Sorry that I'm nearly 2 weeks late. My main computer had gone down the entire of last week. So I was restricted from doing anything on my game.

But now that it got fixed, It runs much faster while recording. So that means I can record the Gameplay videos. I've also managed to get it to run a bit faster in Green Flower Zone. Just to the point to where it's bearable. The map was too large. That combined with the laggyness that the computer had been going through, It was just terrible.

Next, though, Small Updates and Tests 2! Stay tuned!"

Hmm..Let me think. Who should be next? I should probably finish Crystal. She shouldn't take too long.

I know YOU have to finish Tab. At least get her charset done. That's one thing that still has pieces of her beta version.

This is it everyone. It's finally here. I finally finished recording all of this. It took me a while, lemme tell ya. I had some problems here and there, so please try not to mind the quality changing occasionally. I had to switch over to a different computer for some of the recording.

After this, I'm most likely going to go and give the final spruce ups to Splice's house. And then I'm gonna finish Smash's house.

Also, There are a lot of pause breaks in this. You'll notice that almost every time that I save, the video fades out and back in. That's when I save and stop recording to either serve as a check point or so I can do something else."

This guy's tough. For a first boss, He's hard. He takes the skills of one of the Flame Thrower mini bosses and buffs it up. Not to mention his bulk of HP (and taunts). You really have to conserve your items since you have to fight TWO battles in a row."

As for Zatic's cameo, I'm thinking he will challenge you to a fight to see if you're worthy of such powerful items. You can't just get something so great for free-Especially when there's TWO of them.

So yeah, that will be something to look forward to.

You know I never actually read the full review. Must've slipped my mind. Here is my response to it.


A lot of work was put into that Title Screen. I am deeply grateful towards Sykog and Miles for helping me.


So sorry about that waiting problem. It actually is longer than it should be, I was really just waiting for the music to fade before having the scene move onto inside. Although after several bug tests, I found waiting there to be quite a nuisance myself.


I have now made it a little easier to find out where you're supposed to go. Read the road signs a little while going North-West. And once you get out Splice's house, a very short scene showing you which road to take plays.

Yes, the battle is difficult. I lost my fair share of times myself on my first playthrough. Fighting alone is hard. Although now it's a little easier since you have the (somewhat secret) option of getting Tab in your party for the fight.

I should have had it so that you get healed after the battle. I'm gonna do that next chance I get.

Well, I did combine Sonic charsets with half Earthbound, half RTP tilesets. Such a stretch is pretty large. I suppose if I added a bit more shading to some things, it will mesh a little better. A lot of the earthbound stuff lacks in the shading department. As for Splice, His general looks are much better on the eyes than they USED to be, lemme tell ya. He has much longer quills than his charset shows, but I couldn't get them long enough due to the limited space in the charsets. You can see it a little better in battle, although I think they could use to be a bit longer in some areas. Also, Walking up was probably the most complicated part of his charset. I could try to redo it, though.

Yes, I agree. There are quite a few things that need to be worked out. I will work them out in time. In fact, next chance I get I'm gonna try to fix up the things you mentioned here, if I hadn't already done it.

You know what I don't either. sure there is a reason it's there but yeah.

It's mainly small little tidbits of info there that gave me an idea. The dialog and everything will be completely different.
