Hey there. I'm Kapus. You probably remember me. I was the first member to join this site, and the member who made this site what it is today. I came and "fixed" the site, although not on my own. Sonic World was(and still is) a pretty small site. Back then, I dreamed of turning it into a big, popular Sonic fan site booming with activity. Pretty naive of me, no?

Happy Winter Theme, everyone! Okay, so its technically not Winter yet, but whatever. Once it its December, everyone already feels like its Winter anyways.

So the new Winter Theme is up. People were quite skeptical about it at first, but they seem to have accepted it now. I like it. I think it gives off a very cold and icy feeling.
I plan to change the layout of this Winter theme slightly over time. Once in January and then in February. I hope you guys have fun! Look out for the December Banner!

Also stay tuned for the Fancharacter contest. It'll be here pretty...

The Sonic World Journal isn't dead. Really. Its as lively as ever.





Okay, blatant lies aside, I really owe it to you guys to write another journal entry. There hasn't been an entry for months. A lot of stuff has happened since the last entry, and I figure I might as well lay out all of the changes here.

The site cleanup has been done, as everyone knows. The forum has taken on a rather Blue/green style now, and everyone is satisfied with it. The Seasonal themes are also in motion. The Autumn theme was completed and put up on the site, but its been taken...

Wow, this is the first blog post in ages. Too bad its nothing special or important!

I'm just letting everyone know that the Humor profile field is gone. Not just that, but you will have to reset
your Fun Quote Profile field as well.


And..that is all.

A couple of little updates I have done this month. Nothing super big or important, but just little
stuff that has been done up to this point.

As everyone knows, the usergroups have been changed and are much neater.
The usergroup changing idea is over with and came out as successful. But everyone knows that already.

As for the other things, The chatbox has been disabled(again) for some time. It'll be back up later.
The reason for it being disabled is the same...

So! What's Sonic World got in store for May, the 5th month of the year? Well, lets see..


As you all should know, the banners are back in business. This time its Monthly banners. New banners will come every month.
You all also must have noticed that its the second of May today, and there is no new banner. I deeply apologize for the lateness of this
banner. I need some assistance from Miles24 to fully complete the banner, but I haven't been able to talk to him recently.

Expect some new icons pretty soon. I'm making some rather big changes to some of the icons, specifically the ones on the navibar and the index page. I'm not sure if most of you will like this change or not,
but if the majority of the people here dislike it, I will change the icons back to the old ones. If most of you like them, I'll keep them around.

The icons aren't done yet, but they are in the making. So stay tuned.

An important update? No, not really. But I feel I should make a little entry about it.

As you all have noticed, moderators have rainbow emeralds for their rank. Normal members have normal colored emeralds,
moderators have Rainbow emeralds. Now..I decided to spice up the rainbow emeralds a little to make them look nice.

Now I've been itching to add something to this site. I've got something in mind, but I'll have to ask Miles24 for assistance. I'll do that tomorrow.


This, however, I've been planning to add for a while. Just never got around to it.
I added a Warning System. It generally speaks for itself, but I have to explain it anyway.

Here's how the system goes. If you do anything to break the rules, You will get a warning point.
After you break the rules on your 3rd warning...

The forum isn't getting as many posts as it should. Why? I blame the chat box.
A lot of our members are, shall we say, addicted to the chat and very rarely, if at all, visit the actual forum.
Some people don't even read the news section! I do my best to try and keep people on the actual forum,
but its not helping much. This issue has been bothering me. Try to visit the forum more often people,
and maybe convince others to do so as well.

So, I apologized to Sonicfreak for what happened to his forum.(even though it wasn't my doing exactly.)
Smash and I told him that just because Joe was involved for what happened, he wouldn't have to strike back at this site.
None of us want any of this, really. We all want peace for this place. Sonic Freak said that he was already over it, although
he still seemed rather mad.(I'm still upset about it, too) He said he doesn't want any more connection with this site. There
wasn't much connection in the first place, so it won't hurt too much. In the big picture, all is well. We...

No Way! No Way! No Way! No Way?


Yeah, its another update. This one is mainly for the ranks.
I have updated them. The emeralds look a lot nicer now and less pixelated.
I also shortened the emerald count so that there is only 3 emeralds for each color, making about 21 ranks.
As for the ranks themselves, I have finished them. It takes a while to get to the last rank. You'll need a whole
lot of posts.

Whats that? what are all the ranks? I'm not going to tell you. Find out on your own.

Well the Art Gallery isn't going to last all that long, given that we only have 100 pictures worth space.

Well, I still have other things that I had in store for you all. The Banner Contest has started,
I created the weekly poll like I planned(Yes, that was the other feature I had in mind). I hope
you all enjoy all of this. I still have something else I'm planning, too. Not exactly a feature for the site,
but a little something to...

After a couple of days of working on this, I got the Art Gallery up. I hope you people like it.
Hopefully this will attract more people over here, and raise activity.


I planned to release the Art Gallery on Sunday, the day I start the Banner Contest,
and the day I start another new forum feature. Whats the other thing? Wait and see. Its nothing too too big.

Boy, I've been working a lot on this, haven't I?
I'm not even fully done yet.

I made some huge
improvements to the Portal. It was really bland and...well..boring before, so I spiced it up. I think it looks really nice now. The Affiliates also scroll across the bottom part of the page. So go check it out!
I know nobody really uses the Portal that much(at all?), but its not a bad idea to wash where the sun don't shine!

Miles24 and I had been planning to make a Sprite comic to celebrate the anniversary.
A sprite comic about the events at SW, what we went through in one year. It was a pretty nice idea,
although the anniversary is long gone now. I'm not sure where this idea is going to go, but I had planned
on making a sprite comic with a similar theme for a long time now.

So, stay tuned I guess.




On a side note, I noticed that SL was unbanned from the chatbox...

So I made the Sonic World Journal, a blog that I'm writing about the site.
Whats it about? Just what I'm working on for the site, what I have planned ahead,
and generally anything thats going on. Of course really big things would go in the News section, such as
the Anniversary.

Yeah, its the anniversary today. SW is one year old. Been a while since the forum was made, huh?
Okay, so not that long. We still have quite a ways to go, no?

Anyhow, We're celebrating...
