Post count slowly decreasing

The forum isn't getting as many posts as it should. Why? I blame the chat box.
A lot of our members are, shall we say, addicted to the chat and very rarely, if at all, visit the actual forum.
Some people don't even read the news section! I do my best to try and keep people on the actual forum,
but its not helping much. This issue has been bothering me. Try to visit the forum more often people,
and maybe convince others to do so as well.

I've been telling people to stop being chat leeches, They just say that posting takes too long.

That is the laziest excuse ever... .-. No offense to anyone who said that, but seriously. Why join a forum if you don't want to post because it 'takes too long'? There's no sense in it. XP

I rarely chat these days anyway, and sometimes I don't post because some topics I just can't relate to. I'll try to more often though.

Some people don't even post, they just use the chatbox... No offense but people need to at least try to start posting. Come on, it IS a forum people. =P

Ive Noticed This. and i have no time. im working on a game for a competition

I, however, am the complete opposite. I'm always on the forum, looking around for places to post in. (I don't post EVERYWHERE, but still.) And I rarely get on the chatbox at all.

You are indeed the second biggest poster here. Only about 1500 posts below me.

My recommendation: somehow make the chatbox usable to people of a certain rank. That way, new users will be trying to post enough times to get to the minimum rank.

Never would have thought of that. First we'll have to see if its possible.

To be honest, I don't think it was a very good idea anyway. Restrictions to people of a certain rank can be good in some cases, but I just don't think you should restrict the chatbox. Sorry.

There's only like 20 active members and a bad flow of new ones.
I'm on for 6-9 hours a day, As well.

Joe, I'm talking about the future. This forum will grow, and new members will flood.

Well, According to the admin panel we get A THIRD OF A NEW MEMBER each day. That means one member every 3 days.
