Yeah. In anycase, I'm glad that I've gotten started on the story. But soon there won't be any story updates for a while since I'm gonna have to work extra hard on the city and finish it before I progress any further. Doing so is mandatory before progressing any further. Infact, I can't progress at all without finishing it.


It'd be pretty cool if I could add actual cutscenes into the game. I was thinking about that since I just put one in. No characters were shown of course, it was showing something coming. talk about it later, when I have an update on that part.

Here's a hint: Eggman gonna make his first appearance pretty soon.

So, can you not add cutscenes?

Oh, I CAN. Its just that how many I can add will be very limited if I can't make my own cutscenes.

The other day I tried out two things that would be used later in the game. The first one was getting mail in your mailbox. As the story progresses, you'll sometimes get a letter in the mailbox infront of your house from people you've met along your journey or people related to the people you've met. For instance,


Boo hoo, nothing for you.


You Got Mail!


This letter is from Meryl, Speedy's mother. She thanks you for helping Speedy out in the game (which is how he joins your party) and wishes you luck in stopping Dr. Eggman.
Pop Quiz! Who was the person who drew that picture of Speedy's mother? (Note, She was renamed to Meryl, used to be Speedin.)


The second thing I was working on was a treasure detecting skill. Can only be used by Frost or Icicle. "Power Star: Detect."

Pretty neat, huh? It shows which treasures are in a treasure chest, and which ones are hidden away someplace and not exactly in a chest.


Yep, It works. There's the chest alright.


The first letter won't arrive until after you've already gotten Tails in your party, which is in the Mystic Ruins. And Frost won't join your party until a little later afterwards. Or, rather, you can't get him until then. Remember that he's optional. So these things are currently on hold. I just wanted to see if/how they would work.

It took the Power Star all day just to detect that treasure?

i just noticed, youve been workin on this for a year.

If he's been working on this for a year, and he only just now started on the story, lord knows how long Smash'll be working on this game.

You know that his database got eradicated plenty of times.

About 3 times to be exact. I had only finally gotten back to where I was before during August or so.

Even so, this game is still probably gonna take a really long time until completion.

Yeah, you're kinda stating the obvious.
