I mean it's a too common element.

It's probably best to stay away from elements. More likely the common ones.

your character is fine. just mess with the fire itself. the ability and it's limitations.

yeah like is your character still learning it and it sometimes goes out of control mabey??

Mess around with it and make it unique in your own way.

Well, the rings she wears (Earrings, ring that holds her bands, and finger ring on her left hand.) let her control fire, she wasn't born with it. Plus she rarely uses fire, she does have a limit; like if she was near fire she'd use fire more, if it's like near a lake, with no fire around she'd use it less.

All right. I think you're good Moriah. How could I fix my character's abilities SL?

I just want to voice my opinion on elements

You don't want to stay away from them really because they can make the character more interesting if done right. So instead of thinking Fire=crap Ice=Crap Everything else=Crap which is in a sense is, this is where something you hopefully have comes in (and if you don't we will obviously know) IMAGINATION!!!!!
So what i mean is instead of having fire you can add things to it like make it Dark Fire though that is still pretty unoriginal but you get the point. Then you could add like catches to the power, ie:the character need to use all it's strength to use the element. This also helps not make you a supreme godmod spammer. So i will say an example in how this would work as a whole,

Aero the hedgehog has been gifted with the power of wind, though it is more of a curse because each time he uses it he dies a bit inside. So because of this he has dubbed it Deathwind. If he uses all his power into an attack he can use Ultimate Wind which is critical to his health.

I don't have the words to describe it like that either.

I don't have many characters that use elements. In fact, I only have like 8 out of 33 who have elemental powers. 5 Sonic characters and 3 Kirby characters. Although I don't have a real reason for the kirby characters, the Sonic characters have whole backstories on where their powers came from. and 4 of them are related which is why they have the same powers.

Nowadays, I don't give my characters elemental powers often. Mainly because, as stated before, they can be pretty generic unless you think up something original for them. And I can't always come up with the good variations.
Honestly, I haven't given a single one of my newer characters elemental powers. The characters that do have them I had made some time ago back when I was bad at making characters. So basically I've just had to go back and work on their character and improve them, give them back stories on where their powers came from, etc. But I never did actually change the powers themselves. They're just generic fire, ice, and lightning powers.

What Smash said and I'll think how to make my character's powers unique.
