I'm sorry if I was apart of this.

Although I disagree with a few things he said, I think that most of you people should read and take heed of SL's post.

I don't think you should worry about the staff doing their job badly anymore, SL. I've got everything under control with that. I'm calling a meeting in the Staff lounge to get everyone in shape and discuss ideas with the rules, staff behavior, and possibly new staff hiring.

Also, for anyone who is sitting there wanting to use the "It's the internet" excuse, I'm afraid to tell you that it is not a valid argument. There are people who go onto the internet even when they are angry, and when they're angry, they usually don't think at times and end up saying the wrong things anyways.

Does this mean you should assume they will constantly do this? No. It does not. If the person apologizes about it, you should at least have a bit of heart in you to accept the apology, and heck, even forgive them.

Yes, its kind of a mixed bag right now.
Some of the staff are too strict(I dare say I might be one of them) while others don't seem to be strict enough at times.


But I've got that covered.

Like Kapus said, I don't exactly approve of the way it was put but SL's (rant) post is right.


Now I must say, I don't think that I have been doing enough for this site lately. As an admin, I really should do more than just come when somebody calls me for something. I have been really busy working on other things (i.e, Splice the Hedgehog, FC profiles, etc.) so I haven't gone and done much of any moderating. But the main thing is, back in the day when I was being a serious admin and strictly enforcing the rules, I went around and tried to make SURE that everyone was following. The main thing I was doing was keeping everyone from cursing on the boards. (Second main thing was stopping spam) But, I was dealing with hot tempered users, stubborn users, and even some trolls. I kept going at them trying to get them all to follow the rules, but then I realized that at the time, I was the only one enforcing those rules. And because of that, the other members began to see me as something of a tyrant, so I pretty much was like "You know what? Forget it. Forget this. I'm done dealing with this nonsense." Since then, I have hardly enforced any rules on the site. I just stayed in my quarters all the time. And that was around the time when I stopped going to the chat without a call.

So basically, you could say that they broke this admin because no other admin was there to back em up. But now I'm gonna try again. Things have been getting out of hand lately. I can't sit around and do nothing this time around.

Don't worry about it. You can make up for it by trying to be a better member from now on. And that goes to everyone, even if they weren't bad in the first place. We're all gonna be doing our best this time.
