| This particular area is not for roleplays, but to discuss roleplays themselves. You may discuss ideas, make preparations, etc. for a roleplay you want to do. It could also be easier to gather people to join your roleplay here before making a thread about it, and leave out most of the join requests of the actual roleplay thread itself. I personally would expect this area to be used for the Serious Roleplays only, but there is no restriction against talking about the random roleplays here.
Speaking of which, the random roleplays and the serious roleplays should be separated strictly. Do Not post randomness or break any rules of the particular Serious Roleplay. -1 Warning Point (If done excessively.) It is okay to turn a Random roleplay into a Serious one. or the other way around. If it does change from one to the other, there is no real need to move it from one section to the other. But if you create a Random Roleplay in the Serious section, or vice versa, it will be moved to its proper location.
If you have any questions, please speak up.

| Okay, since I know my role plays very well, and I already know the difference between a serious and random role play, what would exactly make one random or serious? (I ask for the sake of everyone else) | |

| Why, That's a good question. *cough*
A Random roleplay generally allows just about anyone to join, and has little to no rules other than the known rules that everyone should follow. (i.e no spamming, going off topic, flaming/fighting, excessive cursing, etc.) They usually have little to no plot at the start. Things aren't usually taken seriously unless a specific type of plot does come up, turning it into a Serious Roleplay. Even then things could be taken rather lightly. Crossovers are usually allowed. And as long as you aren't breaking the rules, it's basically "Anything Goes".
A Serious Roleplay often allows a set number of people to join, so it won't cause confusion. These usually come with their own rules other than the known rules listed above. These usually consist of: No controlling other people's characters, Do not take the story into a different direction, or rushing ahead of time which causes confusion, No Godmodding, Sometimes the characters are to stay in the dark about what's really happening for a while until they're ready to reveal the truth, otherwise things would go differently than planned. Which also applies to the "Do Not take the story into a different direction" rule. These roleplays are taken a lot more seriously, and most of every event happens within reason (unless added for comic relief) and are believable as far as it can get in the Sonic Series, or whichever series you are roleplaying off of. (If you are roleplaying off of a series that is.) Failure to follow the rules usually results in a ban from the RP. And if it's bad enough, a warning point will be given out.
Those are the main differences that I can think of.

| Now here's another question. What's the "bare minimum" amount of rules you are required to put onto your serious role-play if there is a minimum? | |

| The bare minimum? The bare minimum would be the generally already known rules I stated above. But I will list them again.
No spamming No going off topic, No RP Crashing No flaming/fighting, Don't use excessive cursing.
Those are the general things you should follow.

| Yes. I did forget that. Thank you, Rhys. - Eliwood wrote:

Besides just stuff like "no flaming" Well, there is no rule against it. But putting too many rules in it would make it more of a serious roleplay. Although that will be determined though the contents of the roleplay itself.
