Our Heroes:


Mario: Normally a plumber, in the game series Mario uses his legendary jump and combat abilities to defend the peaceful inhabitants of Mushroom World from power-hungry villains such as Bowser.
He should have no problem rescuing the Princess once again.


Luigi:Luigi is a heroic individual from the Mushroom Kingdom who has assisted or fought alongside his brother, Mario on many occasions. Throughout his life, he had lived in Mario's shadow, developing both cowardly and heroic tendencies.
He will yet again be helping his older brother rescue the princess.


Blue Toad:Blue Toad is the name of a character (as well as a species) who has appeared in many of Mario's adventures and has assisted him in many ways.
Surprisingly enough he will also lend Mario a helping hand.


Yellow Toad:Yellow Toad is a member of the Toad species who has made many appearances throughout the Mario series.
Strangely enough like his blue companion he'll be going on the adventure too.

Main Villains:

Bowser:Bowser will most likely be appearing in the upcoming title, New Super Mario Bros. Wii. As of now though, there is no information about the game's story. What is known, is that his seven Koopalings, along with Bowser Jr., will return. Anyways What's a game without Bowser? *cough* Super Mario Bros 2 Fail *cough*


Bowser Jr. (sometimes written as Bowser Junior) is Bowser's eighth child.
He is seemingly the youngest of Bowser's eight children and the Koopa King's favorite offspring (at least, for the time being).
This is most likely why he gets his won mini clown car instead of a wand.


The Koopalings:
Larry Koopa [bottom left]:He is the seventh oldest of Bowser's eight children, and is the youngest of the seven Koopalings. As proved by Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, Larry loves to play tennis and has blue hair like Ludwig Von Koopa. Larry is seemingly best known to have a large blue mohawk which he, unlike his brother Ludwig, brushes and cleans. He has mysteriously lost 2 of his fangs.

Roy Koopa [middle left]:He is the 3rd oldest of of Bowser's eight children, depending on the source. From what has been revealed about Roy's personality, he is more brawn than brains, preferring brute force over thinking things through. Despite this gruff, tough-guy demeanor, Roy wears a pink shell, which may be a reference to the fact some say pink is a manly color. He also wears red sunglasses similar to his namesake, the legendary rock and roll musician, Roy Orbison. This time around He has a purple shell instead of pink. He seems smaller while Morton seems much bigger, which can be seen in the opening.

Lemmy Koopa [upper right]: Other one of Bowser's eight children. Despite being the second oldest of the Koopalings, Lemmy is rather small in size; he also has a rainbow Mohawk, a lazy eye and most recently a ponytail.

Morton Koopa Jr. [middle right]:He is one of Bowser's eight children and is the sixth oldest Koopaling. Although he is the largest of the koopalings, Morton doesn't appear to be as powerful as some of his other large brothers, like Ludwig or Roy. This may just be due to the fact that he is one of the younger Koopalings, and needs to grow some more.

Iggy Koopa [upper left]:Once again other one of the eight children of Bowser, of which, he is the fourth oldest; Iggy is depicted as a mechanical genius, who is also demented and is generally portrayed as having a rainbow mohawk (Green in New Super Mario Bros. Wii) and glasses with swirls on them. Iggy's look has changed drastically as he is now taller and skinnier than he was in his last appearances and instead of rainbow-colored hair, his hair has turned green.

Ludwig von Koopa [middle center]:He is the oldest Koopaling and was Bowser's second-in-command until Bowser Jr. came along. Like the other Koopalings, not much of Ludwig's personality has been revealed, though it is known that he composes "Koopa Symphonies", is somewhat arrogant and is said to be the cruelest of all the Koopalings.

Wendy O. Koopa [bottom right]:She is one of Bowser's eight children and his only daughter. She is Bowser's fifth child. Wendy is, more or less, a spoiled brat with a quick temper, often going into a rage over little things. She is also fairly materialistic and greedy. She appears to be the only one of the 7 original Koopalings who has not gone through any type of design changes for the game.


Kamek:Kamek is an old, yet powerful Magikoopa and apparent adviser to Bowser, or at least high-ranking member in the Koopa Troop. Kamek is slated to appear in New Super Mario Bros. Wii, where he will play a similar role to Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. Right before a battle against a Koopaling, he will use his magic to make the battle more difficult for the heroes.

Yoshi:Although he never appeared in New Super Mario Bros., Yoshi will be appearing in the game's sequel, New Super Mario Bros. Wii. He will likely perform the same actions as from Super Mario World. Other Yoshi colors have also been confirmed to appear; Red Yoshi, Yellow Yoshi, Blue Yoshi, Pink Yoshi and Light Blue Yoshi.


Princess Peach:She is the princess of the Mushroom Kingdom. Peach was created by Shigeru Miyamoto, and is the damsel-in-distress throughout most Mario games. Since her debut in Super Mario Bros., Peach has appeared in Mario games for over 20 years. Peach is occasionally a key supporting character of the plot, and sometimes a playable character in Mario spinoff installments. Her most notable appearance is as the heroine of Super Princess Peach.


Toad [red spots blue vest]:He Will Be a Trapped Toad in New Super Mario Bros. Wii and the player will need to save them.

Enemies Part 1


Goombas:They are one of the major species of Mushroom World, and are among Mario and Luigi's most persistent foes.


Paragoombas:Paragoombas, also known as Winged Goombas, are a variety of Goomba that possess small wings protruding from either their head or torso.

Micro Goombas:Micro-Goomba is the name given to a species of small Goombas. Micro-Goombas are also called Mini Goomba.


Koopa Troopa:They are common enemies in the Mario Series, usually displayed as footsoldiers of the Koopa Troop, under the direct leadership of Bowser.


Koopa Paratroopa:They are Koopa Troopas with wings. Hit them in the air once and they'll lose their wings. They traditionally come in two varieties. Red Koopa Paratroopas will usually fly up and down or side to side in a set path, while green Koopa Paratroopas will often bounce in the player's general direction.


Piranha Plant:Piranha Plants are large, carnivorous plants encountered throughout the Mario series; Piranha Plants are seemingly based-off Venus Flytrap, eating anything that approaches them.


Dry Bones:Dry Bones (also known as Skeleton Koopas) are skeletal versions of Koopa Troopas. These undead Koopas will often collapse when attacked, but they will soon revive themselves and become completely normal once again.


Swooper:Swoopers are bat enemies that made their first appearance in Super Mario World and since then, Swoopers have appeared in several other games, including main-stream and spin-off ones.


Buzzy Beetle:Buzzy Beetles are beetle-like creatures with a hard, outer shell which is often blue. Buzzy Beetles will hide in their shells if jumped on, and, like a Koopa Shell, can be kicked to eliminate more enemies.


Boo:The Boo (originally known as Boo Diddley) is a common enemy in the Mario series that first appeared in Super Mario Bros. 3. They are a type of white spherical ghost with menacing and constantly open mouths and also small "arms" of some sort.


Big Boo:Big Boos are a sub-species of Boo. Usually they resemble and behave similar to normal Boos, except that they are larger.

BONUS: Super Guide:
In New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Super Guide could only be used after a player died eight times on a level. In order to use Super Guide on every level in the game, the player will have to die 8 times on each one. After dying eight times on a level, a green block will appear that, when hit, will activate Super Guide. Super Guide can only be played in the single player mode. When this is done Luigi will take over showing the creators tricks on how to beat the level the easiest way without showing how to get the star coins.

I don't get what's so great about this game...I'd get Mario galaxy way before this.

This game is gonna be great. But not as good as BIS.

4 Player Multiplayer co-op. Hasn't been done in a main series game since Mario Bros.
I could think of more reasons but my brain is in it's own world right now.

the Koopa Kids are supposedly just Bowser's many servants not his kids. Obviously there are 1000 koopa kids. Other Servant like Boom Boom.

I live in a neighborhood without any other kids and my brother is an idiot so Co-op is useless to me.
And yes. WEEGEE knows all.

I won't have anyone to play multi-player with unless I invite a friend over. I play most co-op games by myself.
