Emerald Arcade Locked.

I've noticed a ridiculous number of posts have been going to the Emerald Arcade. Probably some 80% of Rice's 3000 posts are there. People, Forum Games is NOT an easy way to get forum activity. It'll be unlocked at the end of the week.

Yeah, but no other forum had posts.

2 things:

1. Why would we need the Emerald Arcade AND the Random Hotel? They're both pretty much useless spam forums.

2. Will it be getting unlocked?

That's the wrong way to lookat it. The Random hotel isnt for games. Its for things that make little to no sense. Spam in the random hotel is spam, but spam in the emerald arcade is atleast game-like.

1. the arcade is for forum games and the random hotel is for things like random vids or unrelated things, having them mixed would be annoying and a nightmare

I..actually have to agree with Skydog. People think it's giving activity to the forum, when really its taking it away. The Emerald Arcade wasn't made to be the main attraction of the forum. We don't want the majority of our posts there.

It wasn't really a bad idea plainly, but people have abused it, and I don't think it should come back.

I feel bad for causing this. I'm just saying that maybe what if we got rid of the Emerald Arcade completely?

I don't see how we abused it. D: Me and Rhys didn't have our focus on raking up the posts, we were just having fun. Just like the Forum Roleplays and Random Hotel, I post in topics for the fun and enjoyment of it, not to compete with anybody. I think it's my fault for posting 300 posts in one day there.

If I recall, you were the one bragging you had X triple digit number of posts and trying to bear Rhys.
And I'm not specifically blaming either of you, I was just using Rhys as an example.

And the Random Hotel is for fun/random stuff that doesn't fit anywhere else, Some of it IS fun spam, but little of it would fit in General Discussion, and fusing it with the arcade would be, as someone before me said, a nightmare.

I was just kidding, and I didn't say anything about beating Rhys.

Okay okay Okay. Locking it is one thing but getting rid of it is stupid.
just lock it temporarily to give people time to see other parts of the forum/

though if once you open it again everyone just starts posting in their again

Still don't care about the fate of that forum. But it would force more people to be active in the regular forum.

It was abused because the majority of people's posts were going there.
