Favorite Mario game?

Whats your favorite Mario game? For me, I liked Super Mario 64 and Paper Mario.

I only played 1,2,and 3. 3 was the best. Mario and Sonic at the olimpic games looked good.
But i'm with Sonic.

That game just PWNs hands down
The storybook part was when I cried a little....the only other game that stirs that feelin in me is Sonic Adventure 2 Battle and Both of the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games XD
Loved the last battle & the Orchestral music exspecially! *Cough*INORCHESTRA*Cough*
Second is Super Mario 64/Super Mario 64 DS ^^

You should. Paper Mario is absolutely hilarious. Both the first and second one. The third one looks pretty funny too, but I don't know 'cause I never played it.

Super Mario Galaxy.

I've only played Super Mario Sunshine, the original Mario Bros games, and Super Mario 64...

I wasn't fond of Sunshine at all.

The original ones were okay but they grew tiresome after a while.

As for 64... it may very well be the worst example of any game I've ever played... EVER!!!

He just moves so slow in that game. It's annoying. Plus there really isn't much of a game ... at least not from what I've seen as I couldn't draw myself to complete it.

Maybe I'm being picky and considering the time when it wa released I guess why I would hate such a game would be obvious if I were to compare it to today's high standards.

I have a word of advice for those Sonic fans who wish to give Mario a try. Don't EVER play Super Mario 64 directly after you just finished playing Sonic Adventure 2. Bad Idea!

I like both of those games, but after playing Sonic Adventure 2...Good point. Veeery good point.

Yes. I'm afraid I made the mistake of doing so and now my opinion on the game is basically unchangable...

Although, I have to admit, even though I'm no Mario fan in any regard besides the fun factor, I've contemplated purchasing Galaxy.

I won't because I don't have a Wii yet and as soon as I get one I'm headed straight for Secret Rings, Brawl, Superstar Tennis, etc. Not to mention I'm saving up for Unleashed on the PS2 and I have a DS and Chronicles to muster up the money to purchase as well.

Heck if I know. I know for a fact that I'll be recieving a wii soon. The DS is most defidently under speculation though. However, the Wii and the games I mentioned are certain.

When I first played the game at my Grandma's house in the NYC I was over at her house for the entire Summer. My Aunt's husband decided to lend us his gamecube for the Summer and there were four available games.

Sunshine, SA2:B, Smash bros. Melee, and some stupid war game that I hated. Before this I was all ready familiar with how fun Sonic games were as was I to how iffy I was on Mario games.

Melee quickly bored me so I played those two and compared them. Sunshine was slow, didn't have an appealing story to me, the water thing machines thing sucked, and the overall emptiness of anything actually happening in that game made me feel... borded! No one should feel bored over the summer.

Then I played SA2:B and it was the exact opposite of what I thought Sunshine was. It became my favorite Sonic game to date and as of now I'm a huge Sonic fan.

Mario, not so much... at all! Not just for that game but for plenty of other boring ones I've played.

Super Mario Galaxy is a truely surpurb game
I THINK I may've ruined Sonic and the Secret rings for myslef though XD

This is just epic, NEARLY as epic as SA2B, and I rarely say that XD

i must say, i don't care about the speed of a game. hhonestly.

Super Mario World on the SNES was the first Mario game I owned (actually, it was the first game I ever played). The graphics are great, it introduced Yoshi, and there were many challenging levels. I wish I still had my SNES, but now i'm being forced to play it on an emulator.

i played mario world on gameboy, it was awful.

Well, for a portable Mario game at the time, it was pretty good.
