Seasonal themes

An idea straight from Eliwood that I have actually been considering for a while.

Here's the idea and how it works: Much like the Monthly/Seasonal banners idea, each season will have its own little theme to it. Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. The themes won't be anything big or special. The main things that will change are the icons, background, and maybe some of the colors. Naturally, the themes will match the season. Fall will be orange and brown, Winter will be snowy and..twinkly. You get the idea. I don't want to make too many major changes with the seasonal themes because I want some of the elements for our current theme(which we worked pretty hard on) to still stay around.

Thoughts? Autumn is right around the corner.

Sounds good enough, although it would be quite a lot of work for the site graphic designers (you).

It would be a lot of work on you, but hey, if you're okay with it, I'm all for it.

Hey, its not as strict as months (or weeks for that matter) so I should be fine.
Don't worry about me, just let me know if you wanna do it in the first place.

It sounds like a great idea, I'm all for it.

It's cool, as long as we keep the dark theme. That's a lot of work, though.

I'll try to have the Autumn theme ready by September 20th.

Also, before one Season theme switches to another, I plan to have the site use its original theme for about a week. For example:

Beginning of Spring: Spring Styled Theme

Middle of Spring: Spring Styled Theme

End of Spring, right before Summer: Original Site Theme

Beginning of Summer: Summer Styled Theme


Like that.

Sounds good to me. It'll also give us a hint as to when it's gonna change to the new seasonal theme.

I see nothing wrong with an idea such as this.Such changes could actually keep the site's design fresh and bring in more interest. Also, I'm available at any time if you need any assistance.

Although, I'll admit I never would have thought brown worked on the skin..
